I started working on this new journal close to October to get it ready for the 2018 year. I sketched out the ideas I had for my journal in pencil at about the same time that I found a lovely Last Unicorn decal sticker that I put on my journal. Thanks to planning out my journal months a head of time, I was able to move right into the new one on January first fairly seamlessly. There were still some things that I noticed happened with the old journal that I took note of. First, I was not as detail orientated... I stopped taking account of the weather, my water consumption, and I stopped my Kanji-a-Day thing I was doing to study. This was also at a time where I was working on so many crochet projects for holiday gifts that I would dream about yarn and my hands would cramp up at any small task. So, I forgave myself for the lack of attention to detail and moved forward. Now, I am in the next journal completely. I have started to make great new borders, changed the things I keep track of, and even put in one of the new stickers I got in the front. I am still using stickers, stamps, and all sorts of fun things to decorate the journal, but I am also trying to balance it out with my own drawings and giving myself permission to be less than perfect. To just be. I am ready.
